There are many universal threats out there, but where is the universal vision? No wonder the facts and statistics show we stop voting and actively avoid the news.
Kabul falls in days. The leader flees. The world shrugs. No-one felt locally accountable enough to defend what was built.
Power without personal accountability ultimately leads to the illusion of a democratic state.
With great power comes …no responsibility.
Intellectual authorities lost our implicit trust.
Contrary to what is often peddled, this is not primarily due to social media, internet, conspiracy theories or fake news, but to the failure of the authorities themselves, to live-up to and live-by the expectations they created.
